One such code is P0463, which indicates a “Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Input.” This code is triggered when the ECM detects that the fuel level sensor is sending a voltage signal that is higher than expected.
There are several possible causes for code P0463, including a faulty fuel level sensor, a damaged wiring harness, or a problem with the ECM itself. In some cases, the code may also be caused by a loose or missing gas cap.
